Volotea strengthens its equity to €100 million
Our portfolio company, Volotea, has strengthened its equity to approximately €100 million and has welcomed AEGEAN Airlines, the largest airline in Greece and a long-standing commercial partner, into its shareholder base. This operation marks the formalization of a long-term strategic partnership between the two airlines, aimed at enhancing their joint position in the European market and strengthening Volotea’s equity base.
As part of this partnership, an initial injection of €50 million has been secured, with AEGEAN contributing €25 million. The remaining €25 million have been provided by the company’s current investors, including the management team led by CEO and Founder, Carlos Muñoz and Meridia’s Private Equity I.
