Ms. Castan is responsible for asset managing Meridia Glamping Programme, becoming the first glamping experience and leader in Iberia.
She has extensive hospitality experience: before joining Meridia in November 2022, she worked with Radisson Hotel Group in its first opening in Barcelona (Radisson Blu 1882). Prior to that she was General Manager at Izaka Hotel Management, responsible for 9 openings in both urban and coast locations. She started her career in Sofitel.Her experience includes openings, sustainability revenue, F&B, operations and hotel management.
Ms. Castan graduated in Hotel Management at Escola de Turisme de Sant Pol and also holds an MBA in International Hotel Administration IMHI-Cornell-Essec.

As a business executive and prominent investment professional, Mr. Faus has led numerous transactions in Real Estate, Private Equity and Venture Capital mostly in Spain and Latin America. He founded Meridia over 17 years ago, one of leading investment fund management firms in Spain. Mr. Faus chairs the Board of Directors of Meridia and all its Investment Committees. At present Merida l is managing Meridia III, Meridia IV, Meridia V in Real Estate and Meridia Private Equity I.
Prior to founding Meridia, between 2001 and 2006 Mr. Faus was CEO and minority shareholder of HOVISA, a real estate company based in Barcelona and owner of Hotel Arts (operated by Ritz-Carlton). He also acted as Iberian Managing Partner for Patron Capital from 2003 to 2006. Prior to his investment career, Mr. Faus worked as M&A lawyer.
Mr. Faus is a member of the Board of Directors of Indukern, a chemical and pharmaceutical group. Between 2010 and 2014 he also served as Director of Colonial, one of the largest publicly traded real estate companies in Spain. At an institutional level, between the 2019 and 2022 period he served as President of Cercle d’Economia, a prominent civic association focused on economic, social and political progress. Between 2010 and 2015 he also served as Vice President at FC Barcelona. He is a member of the global Trilateral Commission.
Mr. Faus has won several awards including the 2002 Deal of the Year by the International Hotel Investment Forum and the SAHIC 2011 Award for Best Investor. Meridia received the Southern Europe Firm of the Year PERE Award in 2016. He is also an active business angel in the Spanish start up arena, having invested in various local innovative venture companies to date.
Mr. Faus is also involved in the academic sector, he is a member of the ESADE Alumni Executive Board and has collaborated with different professors at Harvard, IESE and ESADE Business Schools imparting case studies based on his own experience. He received a Law degree from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, a Masters in International Law from Georgetown University and an MBA from ESADE Business School.
Mr. Iborra is a Real Estate Investment Partner. He coordinates investments/divestments within Meridia’s real estate practice, including the sourcing and screening of investment opportunities, overseeing the underwriting process and the negotiation and execution of transactions, among other things.
He first joined Meridia in March 2007. Prior to that he worked for two years at Unilever in the Financial Control Department and spent one year at Grupo Abrisa in the Dominican Republic as an analyst in the Corporate Development Department. Mr. Iborra also worked as an MBA intern in the Investment Banking Division of JP Morgan in London and at Amazon Spain (Mobile Initiatives Division) in Madrid. After his MBA, he worked as a consultant at Zurich Insurance Company focusing on cost reduction projects, before re-joining Meridia in January 2014.
Mr. Iborra holds an honors degree in Business Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) and a degree in Actuarial Sciences from the Universitat de Barcelona (Spain). He is an MBA graduate from London Business School (England).
Mr. Raso oversees the accounting, legal, tax and administrative processes of all the companies within the Group. He also focuses on regulation, compliance and risk management and is a member of Meridia’s Real Estate Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Meridia in February 2018, for two years Mr. Raso headed the Corporate Finance Department of Almirall, a listed and global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Barcelona. He had previously spent more than 13 years at EY in the Audit Department.
Mr. Raso holds a degree in Business Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain), a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Auditing from the Universitat de Barcelona (Spain) and a General Management Program from IESE Business School, Universidad de Navarra (Spain).
Ms. Gómez has extensive experience in the legal and corporate sector and leads legal and compliance matters at Meridia.
Prior to joining Meridia in 2017, she worked for over ten years as Group Corporate and Legal Director at Mixta Africa, a leading real estate developer in Africa with subsidiaries in six countries. At Mixta Africa, she was the Secretary of the Board and led corporate governance and compliance matters. Ms. Gómez was also responsible for legal aspects of the real estate business across the Group and participated actively in dealing with institutional investors and equity fund raising processes. Prior to that, she worked for three years as Head of Legal for Corporate Finance, Project Finance and M&A at Caixa d’Estalvis de Catalunya (now BBVA), and six years as Senior Lawyer in the M&A Department at Spanish law firm Uría Menéndez.
Ms. Gómez graduated with honours in Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain) and holds a master’s in Business Law from the same university.
Ms. Canosa works as an Asset Manager of a portfolio of assets, specializing in living, social and alternative.
She joined Meridia in 2018. Prior to joining, she worked for almost two years at JLL in the Alternative Investment Department. She has advised on one of the largest student housing portfolio transactions in Spain as well as on numerous deals in the Spanish alternative space, on behalf of buyers and sellers, particularly in student housing, healthcare and car parks. Before that, Ms. Canosa worked at CBRE, in the Property Management and Asset Services Department, where she managed different types of assets as a portfolio manager.
Ms. Canosa holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III (Spain) and a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Analysis from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Spain). Her postgraduate thesis focused on “Alternative Assets” as an emerging market in Spain.
Mr. Monzó oversees all CapEx matters at Meridia. During the acquisition process, this covers technical due diligence and potential CapEx/refurbishment project analysis through to the project development across all its phases. Meridia is one of the few investment institutions within the real estate industry with an in-house project management team.
Prior to joining the Meridia Project Management team in 2019, Mr. Monzó worked at Stoneweg for more than two years managing numerous real estate development projects. Before that, he worked at ADN Edifica for three years as a Project Manager. Over the last six years he has developed more than 400,000 sq. m in construction projects.
Mr. Monzó holds a Building Engineer degree from La Salle, Universitat Ramon Llull (Spain) and a Program for General Management (PDG) from IESE Business School, Universidad de Navarra (Spain).
Ms. Piera works with the Investor Relations and Corporate Development team and is responsible for ESG and sustainability. She also leads the ESG Committee.
Before joining Meridia in 2018, she worked in London as an Investment Associate at Virgin Management, Sir Richard Branson´s Family Office, for almost four years. She was involved in corporate development, M&A and capital markets across portfolio companies, as well as the execution of new investment opportunities. Prior to that, she worked in investment banking at Moelis & Company and Morgan Stanley.
