Meridia and Med Capital acquire a Prime Residential Plot in Mallorca

Real Assets | 09.01.2025

Meridia and Med Capital Management are delighted to announce the acquisition of a premium residential plot in Nou Llevant District at Palma de Mallorca. This plot, with a buildability of 48,200 sqm, is the last and largest piece of residential land to be currently developed in the sector. The project is ideally situated near the vibrant Portixol area and just steps away from Palma’s historic old town and city center, offering exceptional potential for residential development.

The acquisition underscores both companies’ confidence in Mallorca’s high-end residential market, where the scarcity of ready-to-develop land and the strong demand creates a unique investment opportunity. The project’s vision combines modern urban living with sustainability and integration into the surrounding environment.

Victor Iborra, Partner at Meridia, stated: "This acquisition marks Meridia V’s fourth investment, enhancing the diversification of the fund’s portfolio within the living segment, whilst reinforcing our commitment to expanding our presence in this sector. Meridia V is dedicated to identifying and capitalizing on value-add opportunities across the Spanish market, focusing on hospitality, logistics, and living. We are pleased to partner with Med Capital on this project, as they complement our vision to deliver high-quality, sustainable developments.”

Manuel Guillén, CEO at Med Capital, commented: "This new investment in Palma is our fifth project in Mallorca and highlights our strong confidence in the high-end residential sector in the Balearic Islands. We are convinced of the enormous potential of the archipelago, both developing new projects and repositioning existing ones. We continue to analyse new investment opportunities in the short term. We are very pleased to have partnered with Meridia in this project and look forward to leveraging our combined capabilities to implement a leading concept in terms of urban development, sustainability, and integration with the surrounding environment.”
